Let’s face it, it’s hard to make it to the gym and get a full workout in everyday. Even for those who love working out this can be a challenge. I myself love a good workout. Specifically, I love running, yoga and pilates. I even went so far as to become a certified pilates instructor and run the Chicago half-marathon last year. However, I have found that when I was working out everyday it was not only challenging, but it started to interfere with my everyday life, causing me to lose my enjoyment in the activity and the clarity it once gave me. Therefore, my goal for the last year or so has been to get a good workout in 3-4 times a week. Although I make an effort to really enjoy my off days by getting some much deserved rest and relaxation, I make sure those are the days I use the stairs a bit more or walk to the drug store instead of driving. Today was an off day, so of course I was enjoying some 30 Rock, but I also took some time to do a few of my pilates stretches. I didn’t do much, but every little bit counts when living a healthFUL life!
